Surprisingly effective, easy wins to improve the echo experience for your feline patients.
We have a busy calendar of in-person CPD events coming up, alongside ongoing support through our online Learning Zone. Whether you’re looking to deepen your cardiology knowledge face-to-face or access learning at a time that suits you, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved.
Jo Harris, who leads our South West team, will be speaking at the CVA Annual CPD day at Duchy College, Rosewarne nr. Truro. Jo will be covering how, when and why to run an ECG with plenty of case examples.
Our HeartVets’ team will also be exhibiting at the event (see last year’s stand in the photo above), so if you are attending as a delegate please do also come along and see us on the stand – it is always lovely to put names to faces!
The Cornwall Veterinary Association is the local branch of the British Veterinary Association (BVA) providing support to members based in the south-west and holds regular meetings and CPD events. This Saturday’s event offers streams for vets, nurses, and management, including a full exhibition, lunch, and refreshments.

Delivered in collaboration with Watkins & Tasker, this free session will focus on heart failure in everyday practice, with discussion led by three of our HeartVets cardiologists: Jo Harris, RCVS Recognised Specialist in Veterinary Cardiology, with Anna Beber and Jenny Wright, both RCVS Advanced Practitioners in Veterinary Cardiology.
This is a great chance to ask questions, discuss real-world cases, and connect with colleagues in a relaxed setting.

Join us for two days of high quality cardiology CPD, focused on arrhythmias and ECG interpretation, alongside small group practical sessions, expert speakers, and time to relax by the coast.
We’re pleased to confirm the 2026 dates for our highly popular Hands-On Echocardiography CPD Courses, held at the New Country House Hotel, Thornhill, Cardiff (CF14 9UA).
These small-group courses combine clear lectures with extensive practical scanning, designed to build confidence and practical ability. Courses are divided into two sessions to give delegates opportunity to go away and practise what they have learned, and return to refine and build on their skills in a supportive environment.
