HeartVets Surfari Conference 2026 is officially over…

– and what an incredible event it was.

Bringing together veterinary professionals with a shared passion for cardiology, this year’s conference delivered outstanding CPD focused on all things arrhythmia. Delegates benefited from expert-led sessions delivered by our exceptional team of specialist cardiology vets and nurses, alongside valuable insights from our guest anaesthesia specialist, Will McFadzean.

A particular highlight of 2026 was the introduction of our dedicated nursing stream. We had a full room of engaged veterinary nurses, making the inaugural programme a resounding success. The level of participation and discussion reinforced the vital role nurses play in advancing cardiac patient care and highlighted the demand for high-quality, nurse-focused CPD.

Surfari is about more than education alone. Set at a stunning Cornish clifftop hotel, the conference offered delegates the perfect balance of professional development and personal wellbeing. With the option to participate in a surf lesson, attend a yoga session, or simply enjoy the hotel’s spa facilities and spectacular coastal location, delegates had plenty of time to connect with colleagues and reflect on the morning’s lectures.

The feedback from delegates has been overwhelmingly positive – with more than a few attendees asking whether we could make Surfari a week-long event next year!

For those who couldn’t join us this time, don’t worry. Planning is already underway for next year’s conference, which will be coming to South Wales! Details yet to be confirmed but watch this space for a similar style of conference themed around “Criticial Cardiology”.
