Aside from the obvious ‘cat friendly’ approach, there are ways to revolutionise your approach to cat handling – before and during the scan. Some of these may seem surprising, but are tried and tested techniques here at HeartVets that even won over our biggest skeptics!
Give The Cradle Hold some practice (take the ‘head end’ and ask your vet to take the ‘back end’ for turning the patient into lateral recumbency before positioning your elbow) – you will quickly see how much of a difference it makes!
